• Water pooling at the base of the faucet or under the sink. The O-ring seal between the faucet body and the deck plate hardens, or the flexible supply lines crack at the compression fitting. In homes with the original 2015-2018 installations, we’re seeing this more often as those rubber components hit their thermal aging limit.
• Low flow from a previously strong faucet, or uneven stream. The aerator is clogged with scale, or the flow restrictor is partially blocked. Toto’s 1.5 GPM restrictors are prone to this in our water, but the fix is cleaning, not replacement.

DIY or Call Us?

There’s a safe middle ground here. An owner can pull and clean the aerator, wipe the sensor window with vinegar, or tighten the handle set screw with the included Allen key. What we don’t recommend: pulling the ceramic disc cartridge without shutting the main house valve first (the mini shutoffs under the sink often seize in our water), or forcing a stuck cartridge with channel locks and cracking the brass body.
